Woodward Analog Engine Controls

Woodward has provided customers with high-quality analog controllers for over a quarter century with the 2301A and EPG speed control product lines. Woodward has demonstrated long-term customer commitment and loyalty by providing technical support and continuous improvements for these controls.

While these analog controls are still available for field replacement, you might wish to consider the benefits of digital controls for your applications. Check out Woodward’s latest engine control technologies, including the 2301D, APECS, and APECS DPG product lines.

    2301A Speed Control

    2301A Speed Control

The 2301A Speed Control controls the speed or load of diesel or gas engines, or steam or gas turbines. The unit provides control in the isochronous mode, with droop available through an externally wired potentiometer. The isochronous mode is used for constant speed of the controlled prime mover as long as it is able to provide power to satisfy the load. The 2301A LSSC (Load Sharing and Speed Controls) are designed for use in electric generator systems where multi-unit load sharing is desired. 2301A controls may be used with diesel, gas or gasoline engines, or steam or gas turbines.

    EPG Governing Systems

    EPG Governing Systems

Electrically powered governor (EPG) systems are designed for precise speed control of diesel, gas, gasoline engines, and gas turbines. They are especially suited to prime movers without a mechanical drive or hydraulic oil supply for the governor and which have low-mass, low-friction fuel linkages.
