Develop and maintain a World Class Supplier Diversity Program, helping Woodward exceed the expectations of our members and stockholders
and enhancing our ability to meet the needs of our Customers, by utilizing the cutting edge technologies, flexibility, responsiveness and outside-the-box thinking found in America's Small Business Concerns.
Over a decade ago, as major players in the aerospace/defense and energy markets were trimming their supplier
base, Woodward developed a strategic plan to be a systems integrator, drawing from a diverse field of exceptional
suppliers of quality commodities and components.
We've been successful in that strategy. GE selected Woodward as the fuel systems integrator for the GEnx engine, increasing our share in the wide-body commercial aircraft market. The GEnx, scheduled to enter service in 2008,
will power Boeing's 787 and 747 Advanced, and the Airbus A350. Woodward could not have achieved a win like this without the
diverse base of suppliers who enable us to develop creative, cost-effective solutions for our customers.
Woodward strives to maintain its sourcing needs with Small Business suppliers, including minority owned Small Disadvantaged
Businesses (SDBs), Woman Owned, Veteran/Service Disabled Veteran Owned, and HUBZone business enterprises. If you are a small
business with the high integrity Woodward expects, please complete a supplier survey. You may be just the
supplier we are looking for.
Sincerely,
Tom Gendron
Chief Executive Officer
Woodward Governor Company
Welcome to the Woodward Company Supplier Diversity webpage. Woodward has made the commitment to exceed all of the goals set by
the Federal Acquisition Regulations and Public Law in the several sub-classifications that make up Woodward's Small Business
Spend. As the SBLO for Woodward, it is my responsibility to establish the plan and to make sure that the established goals are
met.
I encourage you, as a potential Small Business Supplier to Woodward, to complete the Supplier Survey and return it to me. I will
then provide your information to the Supplier Manager responsible for your product or service. The Supplier Manager will
contact you, if there are opportunities available.
Thank you for your interest in Woodward, and I hope one day to count you as one of our Small Business Success Stories.
Sincerely,
Mark J Schnorenberg
