L-Series Position Controller
The L-Series Position Controller provides a building block approach to total engine management. The microprocessor-based bi-directional actuator design easily attaches to fuel pumps, mixers, or throttle bodies. The L-Series Position Controller accepts a position command and drives the 0-60 degree output shaft to the commanded position based on an internal shaft position sensor. The high-efficiency torque motor delivers 0.34 N·m (0.25 lb-ft) nominally over 60 degree travel range to operate fuel or air control devices. Learn more from L-Series Position Controller product spec 03328.
ProActTM Digital Plus Actuators
The ProActTM Digital Plus actuator is intended to be mounted on-engine to control varying functions including (but not limited to): fuel rack positioning, timing control, throttle valve, and wastegate positioning. The actuator is effectively a positioner with an integral driver, which will accept a position command signal from another device in the system such as a speed control. The ProAct Digital Plus actuator includes an integral digital driver capable of controlling the actuator, communicating with the outside control system, and containing on-board software and intelligence to realize monitoring and customizing functions. Learn more from ProAct Digital Plus product spec 03231.
ProActTM I & II Electromagnetic Actuators
Producing 2.5 and 5 ft-lb transient work respectively, the ProActTM I & II actuator systems are electric powered governor systems designed to provide precise electronic control and limiting for gas and diesel engines. They provide multi break-point control which allows for removal of non-linear linkages. Learn more from ProAct I/II product spec 04122.
ProActTM III & IV Electromagnetic Actuators

EM-80 and EM-300 Gear-Motor Actuators
The EM-80 and EM-300 gear-motor actuators are intended to be mounted on large diesel, gas, and gasoline engines, and on all types of turbines, to control the position of engine fuel racks, turbine fuel valves, turbine and turbocharger variable geometry, and to handle timing control. These systems are well suited for engines without a mechanical drive or hydraulic oil supply. The EM-80 and EM-300 are all-electric actuator systems that provide 40 degrees of actuator output rotation. Each system consists of a three-phase brushless ac motor which drives a high-precision planetary reduction gear box. A dedicated driver controls the actuator position and allows monitoring of most features. PC/Windows based software facilitates the system setup. The EM-80 and EM-300 are freely programmable to meet many customer requirements. Learn more from EM-80/EM-300 product spec 36199.
UG-Actuator
UG40 Actuator
The UG-Actuator and UG40 Actuator offer the advantages of electronic control and load sharing systems while using the convenient, existing UG-type drives and linkages. The actuators provide the muscle for Woodward analog controls such as the 2301A, as well as Woodward digital controls such as the 500-series, 700-series, and the IGEM® engine management system. The actuators can be used with diesel, gasoline, or natural gas engines, as well as with steam and industrial gas turbines. The actuators have a self-contained oil sump so a separate oil supply is not required. Learn more fromUG-Actuator product spec 37511 or UG40 Actuator product spec 37516.
EG-3P and EG-3PC
The EG-3P (proportional) and EG-3PC (proportional with compensation) actuators are designed for use on diesel, gas, and gasoline engines, or turbines, and are particularly well suited for use in control systems requiring a proportional mechanical output of a proportional electrical input. Learn more from EG-3 product spec 82516.
PG-12R/PG-12L Actuator
The PG Actuator is used on diesel engines to replace PGA/PGE-type governors, providing the advantages of electronic control with the convenience of the existing PG-type drive and linkage. An LVDT is available to provide voltage feedback proportional to fuel-rack position. We recommend the PG Actuator for installation involving unattended starts. The actuator has its own 6.0 L (6.3 qt) oil sump and does not need a separate oil supply. The actuator operates with drive speeds from 200 to 1200 rpm. Applications with a high drive speed or high ambient temperatures may require a cooler. The availability of a self-contained MPU will simplify the conversion of a PG-controlled engine to an electronically controlled engine. A gear which has been specifically designed to operate the MPU means that the electronic control will receive sharp, clean speed signals. Low speed applications may require override of the control's failsafe during start-up. Learn more from PG-12R/PG-12L Actuator product spec 37518.
PGPL Actuator
The PGPL Actuator/Driver is an electro-hydraulic actuator with a proportional driver interface which can be used with electronic controls providing a 0 to 200 mA position signal. The actuator is designed for use with Woodward 2301A series, 700-series, Peak® 150, and 505 digital controls. Learn more from PGPL Actuator product spec 37520.
TM-55P Proportional Actuator
The TM-55P Actuator is an electrohydraulic, proportional actuator for controlling diesel and gas engines or steam and industrial gas turbines. It is designed for use with Woodward analog and digital controls. The TM-55P will interface (with an adapter) directly to Woodward liquid and gas fuel valves. It is particularly well suited for use in control systems requiring a rotary mechanical output that is proportional to electrical input. Learn more from TM-55P Proportional Actuator product spec 82599.
TM-55 Integrating Actuator
The TM-55 is an integrating type actuator used for controlling diesel and gas engines or steam and industrial applications of gas turbines, and is designed for use with an adapter directly to Woodward liquid and gas fuel valves. The TM-55 has an electrical position sensor which provides a feedback signal to Woodward electronic controls. This combination allows closed loop control of the actuator output-shaft position. Learn more from TM-55 Integrating Actuator product spec 82767.

Dyna 2000 & 2500 Linear Actuators—The Dyna 2000 and Dyna 2500 linear actuators provide accurate precise positioning with a minimal number of moving parts. This simple design of a proportional electric solenoid has a sliding armature whose magnetic force is proportional to the input coil current. These actuators are easy to install by mounting near the fuel system and direct connecting to the fuel control rod or lever. In most installations, the normal rotary-to-rotary connection is eliminated, resulting in a more trouble-free and accurate control system. The actuator is suitable for installation on diesel, gasoline, or natural gas engines with fuel system force requirements of less than 13 pounds (58 N) of force. Learn more from Dyna 2000/2500 product spec 03324.
Dyna 7000 Rotary Actuator—The Dyna 7000 Rotary Actuator provides a new dimension in size and versatility for spark-ignited and diesel engines. This proven rotary design has been field tested over the last ten years. This simple design of a proportional electric solenoid has a rotating armature whose angular position is proportional to input coil current. The 70 degrees of rotation and small size enhance the overall mounting and interface with a variety of fuel systems. The actuator is suitable for installation on gasoline, natural gas, and diesel engines. On carbureted and throttle body applications, a direct connection between actuator shaft and butterfly shaft is possible, thus eliminating external linkage.
