Gas Stop/Ratio Valve

Woodward’s Rotary Control Valve platform offers a cost-effective, high-speed, pressure control and stop valve in one convenient package.

The pressure regulating capability is achieved by use of a single-acting, spring-loaded hydraulic cylinder that drives a segmented ball valve. The actuator utilizes a triple coil servo valve and dual (or triple) Linear Variable Differential Transformer (LVDT) feedback transducers for applications that require maximum redundancy.

In addition to the pressure regulating feature, the Rotary Control Valve also provides a Class IV (Class VI Optional) shutoff that is sufficiently fast to prevent turbine overspeed in the case of a load rejections. Optional Trip Circuits are available to fit any application.

The Rotary Control valve features a modular design for quick and easy assembly or removal of the valve. Available sizes include 3”, 4”, 6” and 8” valve bodies.
