Woodward systems control generator parameters in power station applications

To make sure that power is efficiently converted into electric energy, it is necessary to supervise and control complex operations within the generator. For example, Woodward exciter voltage and generator protection parameters are provided as one “package” where the automativc voltage regulator (AVR) were already pre-adjusted to optimal values by the generator manufacturer.

Woodward control systems are designed to comply with numerous requirements, such as the balancing of sudden load variation due to switching process from the mains. Selection of system components is based on proven and tested parts to assure a powerful rotating of the shaft, both now and in the future.
