The Woodward Training Centre classes provide technical information and hands-on experience for people who work with Woodward control systems. Whether you work with Mechanical or Electrical control systems, the goal of each class is to enable you to understand:

  • Woodward controls in general, including control functions and theory
  • Proper control operation and maintenance
  • Control adjustment and calibration procedures
  • Test procedures for checking a controls operation
  • Procedures for troubleshooting systems to pinpoint problems
  • Problem solving techniques through class discussions

CLASS TYPES
Two types of classes are available to meet your training needs. The standard in-house classes taught at the Training Centre at Ballabgarh. We could also design a custom tailored class for the complete range of Woodward controls to suit your application specifically, to be conducted at our site or yours. We can organize custom tailored training classes for our OEMs.

ENROLMENT
Class size is limited to provide students better opportunities for learning. Please register early to ensure a place. To complement a class, visual aids, handouts and publications are used. The publications are yours to keep for reference. All material for the class will be supplied.

TO REGISTER
To register for any of the Woodward training classes, please complete the registration form and mail it to us, along with payment. On receiving payment and registration form, registration confirmation will be sent to you by mail/fax.

CLASS TIMES
Most regularly scheduled classes are from 0930 hours to 1600 hours on Mondays through Fridays.

CLASS RATES
Our class rates do not include accommodations and transportation. Lunch and tea will be provided. A 10% discount is applicable to companies registering 4 or more participants in a single course.

PAYMENT
Payment should be made by DRAFT in favour of Woodward Governor India Limited and payable at NEW DELHI. Service Tax is applicable on the course fee.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

505 Digital GovernorCOURSE # 1—505/505E Digital Governors
This class will give you the opportunity to learn more about 505/505E microprocessor based programmable controls for steam turbines. This class is designed to explain the operation, theory, installation, programming, and maintenance. The hands-on portion will include time for programming, adjustments, and troubleshooting techniques on the 505 connected to the simulator. Basic concepts of CPC and TG actuators will also be covered.

EGCP-2 ControlCOURSE # 2—Power Management with EGCP-2 Control
This class is designed to provide you with a good understanding of the methods as well as the theory behind synchronizing and load sharing of electrical generators using EGCP-2 . AMF starting stopping and sequencing of multiple DG sets using Master/Slave configuration will be discussed in detail. The hands-on part of the training will include time for programming, adjustments and troubleshooting techniques.


GCP 32 Genset ControlCOURSE # 3—Power Management with GCP-30 Control
This class is designed to provide you with a good understanding of the methods as well as the theory behind synchronising and load sharing of electrical generators using GCP-30. AMF starting, stopping, and sequencing of multiple DG sets using Master/Slave configuration will be discussed in detail. The hands-on part of the training will include time for programming, adjustments, and troubleshooting techniques.


SPM-D ControlCOURSE # 4—Synchronisation with SPM-D Control
This class is designed to provide you with a good understanding of the methods as well as the theory behind synchronising and paralleling of electrical generators using the SPM-D.


DSLC ControlCOURSE # 5—Power Management with DSLCTM & MSLC Control
This class is designed to provide you with a good understanding of the methods as well as the theory behind synchronising and paralleling of electrical generators using DSLC. Topics such as load sharing, soft loading, base loading and unloading, peak shaving, import - export control, and power transfer using DSLC & MSLC will be discussed.
