Control Auxiliaries & Accessories for Gas Turbines

SmartIFSTM Integrated Fuel System
SmartIFS Integrated Fuel System Woodward's SmartIFSTM integrated fuel system combines fuel valves, sensors, and Fuel Management System (FMS) in a factory-assembled and calibrated system to provide a higher level of performance at a lower system cost. The FMS can perform a range of functions depending on the turbine system. These functions can include: valve positioning, mass flow calculations, network communication, system sequencing, protection, condition monitoring, fault diagnosis, and fault management functions. Simplex or duplex digital communications are available to interface the FMS with the turbine control system and other equipment. Valve and FMS hardware are based on modular design approaches and provide plug-and-play functionality in the field. The system can be configured to meet a wide range of customer requirements and can be applied to gas turbines from 200 kW to 300 MW output. Multiple valve and FMS options are available. Learn more from SmartIFS product spec 03309.

DSLCTM Digital Synchronizer & Load Control
DSLC Digital Synchronizer & Load Control The Woodward DSLCTM control is a microprocessor-based synchronizer and load control designed for use on three-phase AC generators equipped with Woodward or other compatible speed controls and compatible automatic voltage regulators. The DSLC control is a synchronizer, a load sensor, a load control, a dead bus closing system, and optionally a VAR/PF and process control, all integrated into one powerful, yet convenient package. Learn more from DSLC product spec 02006.

Real Power Sensor
Real Power Sensor The Real Power Sensor is used with Woodward speed controls to measure generator output power and provide a kilowatt signal to the speed control. Learn more from Real Power Sensor product spec 02012 or Real & Reactive Power Sensor product spec 82011.

TM-55 Integrating Actuator
TM-55 Actuator The TM-55 is an integrating type actuator used for controlling diesel and gas engines or steam and industrial applications of gas turbines, and is designed for use with an adapter directly to Woodward liquid and gas fuel valves. The TM-55 has an electrical position sensor which provides a feedback signal to Woodward electronic controls. This combination allows closed loop control of the actuator output-shaft position. Learn more from TM-55 Integrating Actuator product spec 82767.

EM-70/EM-140 Rotary Output Electric Actuators and EM Digital Driver
EM Actuator & EM Digital Driver The EM-70 and EM-140 Actuators, when driven by the EM driver, are designed to position engine fuel injection control linkage, flow control valves, and gas turbine variable geometry systems. The actuators consist of a high-performance, rugged brushless servomotor and a precision planetary gearbox with case-hardened gears. High factors of safety are used throughout the design. The EM Driver is a digital control using model-based control algorithms for robust control over a wide range of actuator load inertias, friction levels, and external return spring preloads. PC/Windows® based software facilitates setup. Several communication protocols are available for monitoring and control. Learn more from EM-70/-140 product spec 40180.

GAPTM Graphical Application Programmer
GAP Graphical Application Programmer Woodward's Graphical Application Programmer (GAPTM) is a Windows based software program that allows controls engineers to create block format application programs for a number of Woodward control systems. Once the control logic is entered using the program's graphical programming environment, the GAP software compiler function generates code that runs in the control. GAP software blocks are written in C code, which is a transportable language, allowing it to be used on many different hardware platforms. Because of this feature, the same control logic software that has been used and proven in thousands of controls is available for use in the creation of future controllers, without introducing system bugs. Learn more from GAP product spec 03216.

Monitor GAPTM Graphical Application Programmer
Monitor GAP Monitor GAPTM is a licensed software service tool that allows service personnel to view and edit runtime values for GAP (Graphical Application Program) generated application software. GAP software is Woodward's pictures-to-code programming tool. This programming system uses libraries of control objects that are connected together in a graphical format. The final control design is displayed as a group of interconnected blocks that represent the actual functionality of the code running in the control hardware. Monitor GAP works in parallel with the GAP graphical display and superimposes the actual runtime values on that display. The user is then able to see directly all control values-true/false for Boolean variables and numeric values for real or integer variables. In addition, Monitor GAP can edit variables that have been previously declared as 'tunable' in the original GAP design. The basic GAP editor includes Monitor GAP within its core structure. As such, Monitor GAP software need only be activated by installation of the GAP Editor/Monitor software and license authorization of the Monitor GAP features. Learn more from Monitor GAP product spec 03306.

Woodward Control Assistant Software
Control Assistant Control Assistant software provides powerful troubleshooting and maintenance tools for Woodward's MicroNet™ and NetCon® product lines. Providing additional functionality beyond variable viewing, Control Assistant provides the tools to perform advanced system diagnostics and other functions. Learn more from Control Assistant product spec 03201.

SLE Sequence Logic Editor
SLE Sequence Logic Editor The SLE is a full-function sequence editor program, providing a complete library of application design components for the control system designer. This program's graphical format is easy and intuitive to use. Application software can be debugged and validated before or after it is loaded into the target hardware using the SLE. Once the application is running, the SLE can be used to observe variables and states. Values can be "forced" and changes can be made while the application is running on-line. An on-line help feature is included to assist the user, and design documentation is provided automatically. Learn more from SLE product spec 03296.

On-Engine Accessories
On-Engine Accessories Woodward provides a variety of actuators, pumps, servovalves, and hydraulic control units to deal with variable geometry needs on the engine. Typical applications control variable stator vanes, inlet guide vanes, variable bleed valves, thrust balance, etc.
