GCC PowerPC eabi SPE is a free optional open source compiler for use with MCS 55xx modules such as the ECM-5554-112; it also supports the SECM70, SECM112, and LECM modules. GCC 4.6.0 is supported in MotoHawk 2011b and later. This is an open source compiler and is valid for production applications. Greenhills 4.2.4 (non open source) is also a recommended compiler for production programs.
Note: For the 5xx module family such as the ECM/GCM/HCM-0563-048, ECM-555-080, and ECM-565-128 pin modules, use GCC PowerPC eabi (not SPE)
