Jonathan W. Thayer
Jack Thayer was appointed Vice Chairman Corporate Operations for Woodward in January 2019. In this position, Mr. Thayer oversees Woodward’s Human Resources, Legal & Compliance, Strategy & Business Development, Corporate Technology, and Information Technology departments. Mr. Thayer has also been appointed successor to the Chief Financial Officer upon Mr. Weber’s retirement in fiscal 2020. Mr. Thayer has extensive expertise in corporate finance and strategy, continuous improvement, information technology, supply chain, equity offerings, complex M&A transactions, and risk management.
Mr. Thayer joined Woodward with almost a decade of CFO experience at Fortune 500 companies, most recently with Exelon Corporation, where he served as Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer until his appointment in 2018 to Chief Transformation Officer. Previously with Constellation Energy (acquired by Exelon Corporation), he held the positions of Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, and Director of Investor Relations. Prior to joining Constellation Energy, he held financial and investment banking positions at Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc. and SBC Warburg Dillon Read, Inc. Mr. Thayer served on Woodward’s Board of Directors from 2016 until his appointment as a company officer in 2019.
Mr. Thayer holds a M.B.A., Finance, from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree in history from Middlebury College.
