Daniel Korte

Former Global VP, Aerospace, PPG Industries

Daniel Korte is a seasoned commercial and defense aerospace executive who brings over 35 years of strategic and operational experience to the Woodward Board, where he serves as Chair of the Human Capital & Compensation Committee, and is a member of the Nominating & Governance and Executive Committees.

Daniel is a results-oriented leader with a deep understanding of revenue and profitability growth, with expertise in identifying global market opportunities and human capital management. From 2018 to 2024, he served as Global Vice President, Aerospace of PPG Industries, where he drove revenue and profitability growth by developing robust acquisition pipelines and maximizing economies of scale. He was previously Chief Executive Officer of LMI Aerospace, where he consolidated eight businesses into a single global operating model and led the company’s merger with the Sonaca Group. Daniel also served as President of the Rolls-Royce Defense Group, and held roles of increasing responsibility at The Boeing Company, including Vice President and General Manager responsible for the execution and growth of a $6 billion defense portfolio.

Daniel is also a Board member of Ducommun. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University.
