Frederico Fleury Curado is an executive with more than four decades of global leadership experience in aerospace and industrial companies. He is recognized for his expertise in strategic transformation, portfolio optimization, and complex multinational governance.
He previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Ultrapar S.A. from 2017 to 2021, leading a significant portfolio optimization strategy that sharpened the company’s focus on its core energy and infrastructure businesses. Prior to Ultrapar, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Embraer S.A. from 2007 to 2016, where he advanced the company’s global position through the development of next-generation aircraft platforms and expansion of its commercial, defense, and business aviation businesses.
Frederico began his career as a manufacturing engineer and held a series of senior leadership roles at Embraer before being appointed CEO. He has also served on the boards of Iochpe-Maxion S.A. and Ultrapar S.A., and in leadership roles with international business organizations.
Frederico also serves on the boards of ABB Ltd., LATAM Airlines Group S.A., and Transocean Ltd. He holds a degree in mechanical aeronautical engineering from ITA – Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica and an Executive MBA from the University of São Paulo. He is based in Portugal.
