Mary Petryszyn is an accomplished aerospace and defense executive who brings over 30 years of defense systems technology and financial expertise to the Woodward Board, where she serves as a member of the Audit Committee.
From 2013 to 2023, she served as an executive at Northrop Grumman, most recently as Corporate Vice President and President, Defense Systems, where she oversaw global sustainability and modernization efforts, integrated battle command systems and directed the delivery of critical technology to government, military, and civilian customers. From 2002 to 2013, she served as a Strategic Growth & Integration Executive at Raytheon, where she led the identification, due diligence, closure, and integration of M&A opportunities. Her global experience in government and defense markets also includes previous leadership roles at Singer-Link and Hughes Aircraft Company.
Mary also serves on the Board of Directors at Ericsson Federal Technologies Group, Karman Space & Defense and Saab, Inc. She holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Clarkson University, as well as additional academic credentials from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, SUNY Broome Community College, and The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
