Tana Utley is an esteemed industrials and technology executive who brings over 35 years of engineering and operational experience to the Woodward Board, where she serves as a member of the Human Capital & Compensation Committee and Nominating & Governance Committee.
Tana is a diligent leader with a strong technical background in a variety of engineering and sustainability practices. She spent 37 years at Caterpillar Inc., where she played a pivotal role in the development of Caterpillar’s near-zero emissions diesel engines. While at Caterpillar, Tana served in various leadership roles, including Vice President of Large Power Systems; Vice President of Industrial Power Systems; and Chief Technology Officer of the Product Development & Global Technology division.
Tana also serves on the Board of Directors at SPX Technologies, Inc. She was a Sloan Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management, where she earned a Master of Science in Management. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bradley University.
