When Gabriella joined Woodward’s Engineering Rotation Program, she expected to gain hands-on experience solving real business challenges. What she didn’t anticipate was gaining direct access to senior leaders across the organization through Leadership Acceleration Blocks (LABs). LABs are, weekly development sessions designed to help rotation members think beyond their day-to-day work and prepare for future leadership opportunities.
Woodward’s Rotation Program combines three eight-month assignments across different functions, teams, and locations with intentional development opportunities, including coaching, mentorship, university-accredited coursework, and leadership development. According to Gabriella, hearing leaders and other members share their experiences and career advice has provided valuable perspective. “You don’t know what you don’t know,” she said. “It’s been extremely valuable to have leaders share how to make the most of the Rotation Program.”
For Gabriella, those conversations have reinforced the value of exploring new experiences, leveraging interpersonal skills, and bringing unique perspectives to the table. As she continues through her rotations, the program is helping her build both technical expertise and a broader understanding of leadership, creating opportunities to grow while contributing to meaningful work across the business.
