Woodward played a role in a milestone moment for aviation at the show as GE Aerospace completed the first transoceanic flight of a hybrid-electric powered Saab 340 aircraft. Woodward provided an electric-motor-driven glycol cooling pump, co-developed at our Niles and Rockford facilities, to the hybrid-electric engine, and also provides the HMU for the standard GE Aerospace CT7 turboprop engine which flew in the second engine position on the modified Saab 340.
