The SPC Service Tool is used to configure, adjust, monitor and troubleshoot a SPC. The Servo Position Controller (SPC) positions a hydraulic or pneumatic actuator based on a position demand signal received from a control. The SPC positions a single-coil actuator using single or dual position feedback devices. The position demand signal can be sent to the SPC via CANopen, 4-20mA, or both. The service tool runs on a personal computer and communicates with the SPC through a serial connection.

System Requirements:

  • Microsoft Windows®  11, 10, 8.1, 7.
  • Java: Azul Zulu JRE 8.82.0.21 (8u432), 32-bit.
  • 1 GHz or faster x64 processor
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • Minimum 1280 by 900 pixel screen resolution
  • PC or Laptop with Serial or USB port.  If a USB port is used a USB to serial adaptor is required.  The adaptor should be of good quality that fully complies with the RS232 standard.
  • 9 pin-D straight through Serial Cable (not a null modem cable)
Service Tool requires that the Java Azul Zulu JRE be installed. The Service Tool installation will attempt to install the Java Azul Zulu JRE; but you can also obtain it from the link below.

Installation Instructions:

  1. The first step in installing this software is to download the file from this page. This file is an installation program that will step you through the installation process.
  2. After downloading this file, run it and follow the instructions on the setup dialogs.
