ToolKit 7.5.3
9927-1226_FA.exe
ToolKit is a Windows® desktop program that supports the rapid development and hosting of user-friendly interface tools for Woodward electronic products. Interface tools can be created for many different functions such as service, configuration, commissioning, calibration, testing or operation. These interfaces allow viewing/editing of control values using many different visual components such as text boxes, gauges, bar charts, trend charts, etc.
ToolKit is designed specifically to interface with Woodward products including programmable (GAP™ / MotoHawk) and non-programmable controls. It supports communications via RS-232/-422/-485 serial, CAN, or Ethernet TCP/IP networks.
ToolKit is ideal for Woodward electronic product users that need cost-effective and easy-to-use software interface tools or operator control panels.

Feature Highlights
Improved Settings Comparison Workflow
The settings comparison has been incorporated into a single window. You can simply select two settings files to compare in the same window and click the Compare button. Differences are displayed in the window. You can select files at any time to compare without having to go through the menu.
Paste Lookup Table Index Values
You can now paste into lookup table index values. Monotonically increasing arrays will be verified in ToolKit before being written into the device.
Go To GAP
Users that have GAP installed on their PC’s can now right-click on a component and select Go To GAP from the pop-up menu. This works for most components tied to a parameter, including events in the event status component.
Device Discovery over TCP
In the TCP connection panel, if you have Servlink selected as the protocol, you can now scan the network for Woodward controls and select them to connect to.
Integration with Other Tools (Monitor GAP)
ToolKit can accept commands from other applications such as Monitor GAP or Power Shell. Commands for adding parameters to a Quick Tool data grid, trend chart, lookup table editor, and alarm & event listing can all be accomplished. ToolKit will determine the data type and present the proper component used to display the data. If the calling application is connected to the device, that connection information can be sent to ToolKit as well making a seamless transition between the apps.
ToolKit can also accept commands that direct the parameter(s) being added to a specific page or trend chart in the tool.
Refresh Device List
A refresh button has been added to the connect page. This is useful for USB adapters that were not connected at the time ToolKit was launched and then subsequently plugged in.
Reuse USB CAN Adapter Properties for New Adapters
When a new CAN adapter is used with ToolKit, the bus address and baud rate from the last used CAN adapter will be used. Previously, ToolKit required the user to reenter these items.
Open Settings and Data Log Files from the Main Ribbon
You can now open a data log file or settings file from the Open button on the Main ribbon. All supported file types will be selected in the Open File dialog by default. The most recent file drop down on the button will show all the recent file types as well.
Save Settings files Differences from Defaults
In the Generic Settings Editor window, a button has been added to allow comparison to the default values as defined in the SID. Once clicked, a new editor will open containing the differences. You can then work with the differences in the same way as any other settings file. This only works if the settings file allows partial settings to be created from it and a custom editor is not required to view settings.
Allow Preserving only Differences in the Load Application Wizard
When loading an application, and preserving settings, you have an option to only preserve the settings that differ from the default values in the new application. Allow Preserving only Differences in the Load Application Wizard
Honoring Control Assistant License
ToolKit will automatically honor the Control Assistant license if Control Assistant is installed and authorized on a PC. This is for the Advanced license of ToolKit only. There is no need to reauthorize your license to use ToolKit advanced features. This is being done to ease the transition to ToolKit since Control Assistant is reaching end of life and will no longer be supported or modified in the future. Customers should begin migrating to ToolKit. Control Assistant will still be available for download on woodward.com for some time.
