EPG Control

12 V, Diesel, Start Fuel Limit

A 12 V isochronous Electrically Powered Governor (EPG) precision control for diesel engines requiring a speed range of 3000 Hz to 6000 Hz with start fuel limits. EPG systems are especially suited for prime movers without a mechanical drive or hydraulic oil supply for the governor and which have low-mass, low-friction fuel linkages.

FEATURES & FUNCTIONALITY

The Electrically Power Governor (EPG) is designed for precise isochronous speed control of diesel engines.  The electric governor is especially suited for prime movers without a mechanical drive or hydraulic oil supply for the governor and which have low-mass, low friction fuel linkages.

EPG’s are part of a complete control system consisting of three-components including:

  • Electronic speed control
  • Electric Actuator (ordered separately, see options below for 12 V applications)
  • Magnetic pickup (ordered separately)

Actuators model options have the following work outputs:

  • Model 512 Full governor travel of 30°, 0.7 J (0.5 ft-lb) (Item: 8256-022)
  • Model 712 Full governor travel of 35°, 1.6 J (1.2 ft-lb) (Item: 8256-017)
  • All actuator output shafts are 0.375"-36 SAE serrated on each end
